I changed the fuel filter on my 2013 Thai build a while ago. I think you have a different type of filter, but I imagine the process will be very much the same.
Basically, I removed the feed fuel line (the one that comes from the tank) and then quickly used a clean drift punch to block the pipe, to prevent fuel draining back into the tank.
I then unplugged the 'water in fuel' sensor connector and unscrewed the filter. (I also stuffed some old towels down below the filter so any spills would be caught.
I used some diesel to lube the seal on the new filter and screwed it in place. Then re-connected the feed fuel line.
Primed it for 10 seconds or so and it started fine. Haven't had any problems.
