I'm about to head off on a long trip and I'm wondering if I should replace my clutch - I've had the car 2 years and have had no problems but the car (06 - 3ltr) has 150,000k's on it and I don't know how many k's on the clutch (it's not slipping & never given me a problem) and we are planning a lot of driving (crossing the Simpson then up through an Aboriginal reserve) about 2000k's on dirt & sand.

I'm wondering if as a precaution I get the clutch replaced - how much should I expect to pay for someone to fit & replace the existing one?

thanks

My clutch has 215,000km's on it and still going strong.

Its towed and been everywhere.
