G'Day all.
I have a couple of photos for you to look at. I was changing the oil today and having a general poke around the undercarriage. I have owned my 2005 D22 ST-R 3.0Di for a little over a year now, so I don't know how things are 'sposed to look from new and I though some you you guys will be able to help.
First pic is the ute itself, for viewing pleasure purposes only. Its fairly stock, so nothing real special apart from it being my pride and joy....blah, blah, blah.
Next is two pics from inside the front wheel on the passenger side.
What I am mainly concerned with here (apart from the shamefull state of filth), is the travel between the rubber stops. You can (hopefully) see bugger-all upward travel on the lowers stop and heaps on the upper arm/stop. I am thinking this is not natural, true? I suspect all parts here are still original.
Am I due to pay some attention to this in the form of visiting a suspension specialist?? I am not really overly interested in a lift for the sake of a lift, would it be worthwhile simply updating torsions, shocks etc with standard spec aftermarket parts? - or would I be better off looking in the area of a full kit (with a lift) and go the whole hog - would there be much difference money wise either way.
Sorry for all the questions and the ramble, but what have you got better to do . Thanks in advance guys/gals, any help would be much appreciated. Also, any recommendations for a suspension specialist in either Toowoomba or Brisbane, or even the Warwick areas? Thanks Again.
Aaron
