Hey guys,

I bought myself a 40" Lightbar which I plan to mount to the roof,

trying to avoid drilling in to the roof, wondering how people have run the wire from the roof into the cab and engine bay?

I have a 50 inch lightbar mounted on my roof,

There are two options to run wiring

1. Use the passenger side door pillar.

2. If you have a snorkel installed you can also run the wiring up through it then out back of that.

I went for option 1

Hope this helps you out

I saw a hilux yesterday with wiring going through the snorkel. It looked shocking.

I fitted a 32" bar between my roofrails. I routed the cable through the side of the racks foot then through a drilled hole in the roof.

I wired the bar in to the high beam with a separate switch at the top of the A pillar.

I bolted my bar straight to the roof. Ripped out the roof lining in the cab for the installation. Measured the location for drilling the holes 1000 times. Drilled a hole for the wiring cable too. Very tidy look. Because the roof is curved I needed some rubber "spacers" for the outer bolts. I actually used rubber door stops that I cut to size. I ran the wiring cable down the drivers side pilar. All wires are hidden. Hope that helps mate.
