I still like the newer longer ones..there are a few bloke in the u.k that sell a high flow long scv..better for extra fuel flow...im assuming they are just getting them from a dmax or toyota.

I think its fitted to the 140kw motors and its basically a longer stainless steel cased better looking version from denso.im assuming it has a better designed solenoid.as they short ones suffer from scratching in the bore.i really cannot find too much info just yet..i need to call my denso guy and mabee baileys deisel...just finding the time when there open.

I get what sounds like an injector tapping noise on a cold start up, and have always had it as long as I have had the ute. I was wondering if replacing the SCV would address it. and if a higher spec one would improve performance?

Rang baileys diesel just before.their getting one of the common rail blokes to ring back with some better scv options for mine.will suit yours too Gbt. What pump pt number hav u got?

90k service last week. The only thing I dont like is the injector tap which lasts untill it is up to normal operating temp.

I did some reading last night, and it seems the longer nose SCV is used as a fix for problems on a few diesels (Triton, HiLux etc)... So there is definitely some merit to it.

As stated, the longer solenoid allows for better suction control and is more tolerant to any foreign matter that may make it's way in..

Definitely keen on looking at the DENSO SVC....

Now to find the correct parts.... talking to baileys deisel a thai pump has limited options without modificaton to the pump housing...they did say all ecu values are the same between all scv's its just actual fitment to the pump

Well it seems that Denso 294009-0120 IS Suitable for my car..

his item fits 2 version(s) of the Nissan Navara 2008 D40 [2005-2014] 2.5 dCi 4WD: Compatibilities are defined by the seller for vehicles typically fitted for operation within the original listing country.
Please check if your vehicle is in the list and if there is no restriction for your vehicle in the notes field.

ok - Spoke to the so called specialist here in Perth - United Fuel Injection - and they have given me DENSO PART NUMBER 294200-360 ... which is a short body.. They have not heard of anyone using the 294009-0120..

So - can *anyone* confirm that it will. The only thing I have to go off is a UK eBay listing which says it "is" for that year / model.. I am not sure if it is a different PUMP used though, as on no site can i see my pump model for that part...
