Great build Sparra. You must let me know how the new redarc smart charger goes. It will be the upgrade to the standard sbi12 isolator that I have in now. Also have you looked at the Scotts Rods exhaust systems? Usually a couple hundred cheaper and is 3" system. Well built and very good customer service.

apparently that 'rhino-liner' stuff is bomb proof. They did it on mythbusters. If you drive over a land mine you'l be ok!
Looks good tho, nice job, good build thread.

pics of finished rear bar
infill panel, trailer plug and led numberplate light fitted

Hey there Sparra, liking the progress! :)
Im particularly interested in the new seat u put in, ive been trying to find info on what seats make a good replacement, what year sr5 did it come out of?
and do you still have the same driving position as the stock seat?
also was it difficult to fit?

Cheers, James

Sparra your rig is looking mint. wanna polish mine? Hehe just a question. Which bullbar is that? Looks bloody neat and solid.

hi
it was out of an 2010 model (apparently)
the driving position is higher than std as the sr5 has heaps of padding/support
it was a pain in the arse to fit
i had to make rails out of flat bar to suit floor mounts and then i removed all mounts from seat and welded flatbar rails straight onto seat rails
theres not much room left if ur a big bloke and no room behind you
but it suits me as its comfy on those long drives
others have used d 40 seats
anythings better than the milk crate they come with

thanks for the info mate, probly not gonna work for me as im 6'4, so the higher seating position will have the steering wheel touching me innapropriately lol. plus i already feel sorry for anyone that has to sit behind me as it is...
might see what i can find out about the d40 seat :)

cheers mate, keep up the mods :)

Mate "Scottybobcat" has D40 seats in his D22, im sure he wouldnt mind giving you the run down.

another busy 2 days
battery system is finished
led work light/reverse lights fitted
fridge and slide are temp installed to see how long batteries last
i filled fridge with 45 HOT cans yesterday
36 hrs later batteries seem to be ok
monitor is showing 0.2 voltage drop between 2nd and 3rd battery
showing 13,8 average while driving and 3 batts linked
i wonder if alternater can keep up long term ??
so far so good
i still need to install 65 ltr water tank in front of fridge
then carpet and trim
the end is near
beaudesert exhaust and some barwork from scotty will finish the build
