225/75/16 on d22 alloy rim

Does anyone know if you can fit 225/75/16 onto a d22 STR rim?

I have a DX with STR rims on it and am rekoning I wanna go for 225/75's, but I'm not sure if it will fit on the STR 16" alloy rim.

I don't quite understand how it all works with the width of the rim etc. (I'm open to anyone explaining it to me :-D)

I don't mind if I have to ditch the STR rims and go to the standard DX rims if I have to, or maybe some black sunraysia's.

Not sure but surely if the Jdm crowd can stretch such narrow tyres onto wide rims. You should be fine. Won't bag much when you air them down.
