Hi, hope everyone had a top Christmas and New Years.

Yesterday my Nav went into limp mode for the first time after giving it a boot. Restarted the engine and it stalled just after about 3 seconds, it took a couple of attemps for it to just idle.
Error code P1272 popped up, I cleared it and reset the ECU.

I've also cleaned the MAF and air filter. Now no errors and the car doesn't miss a beat. I even put the foot to the floor and it didn't go into limp.

But it will occasionally stall at idle, but only if you start the engine then turn it off and back on again. So it will start first time and idle fine, but then turn it off and back on and the trouble starts.

The primer bulb was very soft, so I have given it a few pumps.

Any Ideas?

I am wondering if the SCV is a little crusty. Might be a small leak in the fuel line too (which causes it to draw air, you won't see diesel leaking from it). How's it go on a cold start in the morning?

What year d40 do you have?

Maybe get under it and pull the plugs of the sender and make sure they're clean, could be a poor connection.
