I've got efs, not all that impressed with it, didn't seem much better than standard. I would probably try something else in the future.

Dave, you will notice that the throttle position sensor code comes up quite often as it needs calibration every now and then. The way to get rid of it is to let it idle for 10 min so it re-learns the home position. Oh wait, you can't do that! The other way unfortunately uses the consult 2 thing...

gday crusty. I have the exact same problem. I suspect it is transfer case related (possibly the chain as this seems to be a common failure) as it does not do it in 2WD with hubs engaged or disengaged. I haven't investigated it thouroughly as of yet, let us all know what you find.

From memory the engine light can come on solid when there is water in the fuel filter, perhaps try draining it by unscrewing the plug at the bottom of the filter, could be something simple to try first, the manual in the glovebox describes the process.

In addition to Tappet's suggestions above, check all the gaskets associated with the intake to the engine (manifold, throtle body etc), including the egr control valve and pipe work.

Remember that the fuses sole purpose is to protect the cable. In your 1st example of connecting the exsitng 25mm2 cables to the main battery, the maximum current carrying capacity of the cable would be (with no de-ratings applied) would be about 90A with a maximum temp of 75 degrees. Ofcourse...
