Hi all, i have posted in another thread about this but ill put it in a more relevant section.

I am looking to get 5-8 people interested in purchasing air lockers. These will be a full kit and will be $650 + freight(pickup available) including wiring, compressor, solenoids and hose to suit R180 front diffs we could possibly look at others however i just thought these would be more popular. These units get a good rep and are reliable and at this price its a select able locker at auto locker dollars

The deal is we will organize a cut off date and a deposit date or date range. If you are interested or want one at this attractive price put you name down, at the cut off date we will put up a list and personal message everyone details to make payments to. Deposit will be 50% of the price ($325) this will guarantee you a locker. There may be spare ones that people can purchase after the date however don't hold your breath encase they sell out. I'm doing this as a group buy as i don't have enough money to buy all ten on my own. As these are not currently in production and have to be specially put into production the may take a couple of weeks to order once the order has been placed.

For further info or questions post up.

Thanks Josh

Detailed instruction for DIY?
include in dash Switches?

Dash switch included, Waranty is 1 year conditional, these are the same as most non arb air locker kits on ebay. As far as i know they have a basic instalation book with them however if your not confident playing with diff bit take it somewhere that does, pickup from murdoch withrop southern suburbs perth freight should be between 30 and 50 dollars across australia. I'll try and get some pics and vids for you tonight.

i'm not a 100% sure but i believe the warranty conditions are probably limited to the unit and not related items. not including lubricants and i would assume that the warranty conditions would also mean that the diff would need to be rebuilt on installation like all bearings and seals and pattern pasted to qualify for waranty. I'll give you one guess about were they are made for the price im offering them at.

Yes gunning you do get what you pay for and lots of stuff comes out of china and then gets a huge mark up added to it and some doesn't. I see you have a Tigerz11 winch of which i'm sure is straight out of china however i bet is also decent quality.

Would parts be available forthis locker. Say the seals go and it starts leaking air. Its a good price and most things come from china anyway but locals just put silly mark ups on the products

As far as i know all spare parts are available for order generally tho they ship them when we make an order however i will probably keep one or more in stock that i can always pillage parts from. Also there is a good chance that arb parts will be a direct fit so parts may be easier then expected to come by. If we find there is a common fault we will endeavor to keep those parts in stock.

I like the idea of a selectable locker, but air lockers don't have my trust just yet, i need to make sure they have reasonable seals and it seems to be a common fault with air lockers even arb.

i am interested but there are still many grey areas. i looking forward to reading some more detail on this particular air locker.

keep it coming

I've been further researching these air lockers so far as i'm sure some of you have and so far i have found a couple of breakages but mostly just happy customers that have installed and haven't had any issues. ill post a video from arb (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewt7f-h8Wn4&feature=youtube_gdata_player) Now keep in mind this video was made buy them so it is biased. The chinese locker had 92% of the strength of the arb locker which is 8693 NM compared with 9394 NM which i doubt any of our vehicles make let alone our c.v. joints would handle. so these seem to be a strong unit. Also good luck getting the axle out of a situation like that on the vehicle if the arb specialists had to use a press to remove the axle an on car situation would be much harder to remove.

It also looks like from the video there might be a chance of using your factory side gears and shims as they are basically the same design it seems.

There is also lots more stories and discussion on the pajero club forum and patrol and zook forum which you are welcome to search out.

So far these seem like they are a very good product and im hoping this will go ahead as i'm keen as to get one in my car and go out and insult some of the bigger 4bys.

I think you'd be surprised at the loads that are produced in your drive train and what the OEM components can handle. My opinion is that the drive train is the one area (and braking) that you don't want to tight arse out on. Spit a diff, especially the rear and you are proper stuck! Even a cheap winch, if it fails, you are only stuck at that exact point. Once you are out by another method you drive home. Diff fail, not so.
I have genuine ARB airlockers in my D22 for 2 reasons. 1. I want a diff I can trust for the reasons stated and 2. I hate the idea of a company spending time and dollars developing something for some low leach to send to china and copy. Especially an Australian owned company. This is why out local manufacturing is suffering. Keep it going or there won't be any local development left.

i dont think i would be surprised at the load in my drive train i no they are very high however the 8% difference between arb and a Chinese copy is where i don't think there is much of a difference between them. Keep in mind this is for a front diff only so as soon as you unlock the hubs and put it 2 wheel drive you could drive around for ever with your front diff in many pieces.

Yes i don't like taking huge chunks of manufacturing out of Australia but simply put i don't have the money for arb so if i don't go Chinese i just won't have one so im not taking anything away from arb at all as they won't get my business for a few more years to come.
I have also brought stuff from arb before straps, pressure gauges, tie downs etc so i dont have a problem with arb and have given them support.

Big call saying ARB pArts may work.... I have seen threads similar to this when I had a jeep on the jeep forum. ARB claim that there parts will not fit these chinese lockers. U need to know what the product your selling is before making such claims just to sell them. And just because most things come out of china does not mean they are at the Same standard. But that just my opinion.

I think we need to drop down a gear, it seems were getting a bit fired up.
personally i don't like arb ive have bad experience with there pig headed customer service and i think they mark up there gear way way to much.

but saitek you need to supply us with some fine print, cause there will be either 10 happy customers or 10 unhappy customers or none at all.
Im quite interested in this as i was 100% set on getting a 4wd-industries LOKKA but if this matches the same quality but adds selectivity then i know where i'll be heading.

is the air locker your promoting the "yukon Zip locker"

No they are not yukon zip locker they are a direct copy of a style of arb air locker including the fact the previous model of these still had arb on the product info and instruction sheet. I also didn't think that it was a big call saying arb parts may fit its only a maybe there is also a maybe that the standard side gears and shims may fit it just depends on what they copied or if they copied them directly.

Sorry if i came across snappy or anything, i just thought some peoples statements not comments were a little quick to bag me out or the product before finding out all of the information.

I will see if i can get actual photos of the items and the books with instructions however im doing this with a mate so communication does take an extra day.
