I'll keep my eye out for ya mate, I will be another month or so before I am back on the water, I have just stripped my boat down and got a centre cab put on it. It'a in the paint shop as we speak.

The whiting were up the top end of the passage (near Poverty I think?) and under the hornibrook bridge at Sandgate, I must get out for another try!

It gave me lots of room in the boat but the wind really gave me the shits on long runs. The boat does 70 odd kms an hour so even cruising at 50km/h was really tedious. I go over to Moreton a bit and the cabin will make it far more comfortable. I should have some pics to show very soon.

Yeah i know what you mean, mine is tiller steer no shelter at all. And when the wind starts blowing in the bay sometimes you just need to get out is it.

After seeing Superiorcruisers thread, It got me thinking as to how many of us have a boat or like fishing.

I currently have a little 395 Allycraft Avalon with a 25 Yammy which I reckon is a great little tiny, and I am in the process of getting a plate boat built that will be around 5.5m. Still small enough to fish the rivers but big enough to scoot over to moreton or some of the reefs on a nice day.

What do you guys have or what sort of fishing do you do?

I own a 6.85 cruisecraft explorer with a 250hp yammy 4s & fish offshore anywhere between sarina to bowen NQ

Mine is a 5m fiberglass ski boat with a 150hp mercury 2stroke hanging off the back.

i have had a heap of boats.currantly have a 5m seafarer vsea .might sell it to go back to a 4.2 meter quintex dory or rhino ..see what happens as the vsea is the best boat i have owned for ouyside work

4.5 metre Savage with the 60 hp merc and a 5 hp for trolling - Great on the local lakes. Also a Sea Ray 185 with the 4.3 v6 for play.

I have a 4.29 Quintrex Explorer Trophy with a 40hp Yamaha with all the bells and whistles so it weighs a bit and i am now towing that around in a new 2012 ST Navara.

It tows really well and hardley even know the boats behind me.

I have a late model Quinnie Freedom Sport 510 with a 100hp Yammie on the back, goes like stink for a small boat, very versatile.

Normally do some watersports in the bays but its been out to the shelf a few times and tagged its fair share of black and stripped marlin
